Abstract
Toda reflexión teológica debe partir de un determinado concepto de Dios. Este es su fundamento. Si miramos en una perspectiva general los diversos esfuerzos teológicos de los últimos años (1), advertimos el énfasis en la inmanencia de Dios y la búsqueda de una intelección que responda más a la mentalidad del hombre moderno, orientado totalmente hacia el futuro, en una atmósfera de celebración y de optimismo. No se quiere una divinidad abstracta, ajena al movimiento vital y creativo del hombre. Esta constituiría una traición a la tierra y un volver las espaldas a la vida del mundo. Lo que más se desea es un Dios consecuente con su encargo al hombre de ejercer el dominio sobre todas las creaturas (2), un Dios que podríamos calificar de "comprometido" con la historia humana en una orientación escatológica.
