Abstract
This article has its basis on the philosophy of religion and intends to practically use hermeneutics. Specifically, we refer to an analogical hermeneutics, which has already been elaborated by the author for several years and also by other researchers in diverse fields. To focus on the religious phenomenon following this approach leads to a search for the meaning religion can offer to the current humanity. Above all, Analytical Philosophy is regarded, which demands reference and demonstration, and also postmodern
Philosophy, which leads to hermeneutics and meaning; but, while Analytical Philosophy has resorted to an univocal hermeneutics, the postmodern one has resorted to an equivocal hermeneutics, and there is a need now for an analogical perspective that combines meaning and reference.
