Abstract

The current ecological crisis occurs as the result of an inappropriate relation between the human being and nature, which surpasses the scope of what is strictly natural and reaches the social sphere. This presents itself as a challenge that forces theology to proclaim a message of hope, supported by the Word and the Christian tradition. In this article, answering to this challenge and contributing to the solution for such a problem, the author proposes eight features which characterize an ecological spirituality and gather them together in four dimensions.
