Abstract
It strives to identify the interpretative potential of the semiotic theory of Charles Sanders Peirce in reference to an introductory analysis of the apophatic theology of the Eastern Church. Some elements of the semiotic interpretative potential are visualized based on the identification of hermeneutic and discursive categorization units. In addition, some limits given by the significant complex characteristics of the “object of study” are pointed out.
