Abstract

This paper shows the actuality of Paul VI’s Encyclical on development, forty years after its publication, emphasizing the connection between the Pope’s thinking and the legitimate strife for the liberation of peoples submitted to the new yoke of neoliberal ideology and market economy. It insists on the necessity of pondering over the whole teaching of Paul VI to arrive at a just interpretation of this document
