Abstract
Family tables have an underlying language which needs to be interpreted in order to conceive new forms of community within the Church. This work describes a number of family table models which are compared to what Jesus Christ used to do during meals and around tables as both a guest and or host. Finally, by
recognizing the figure of family as a domestic church, under the light of both family tables and the experience of Jesus, this work makes a number of proposals to develop and live new (and not so new) ways of living within the Church.
