Abstract
This paper discusses the political project of citizenship from the perspective of the social contract, not in its classical version, but in the horizon of the discourse ethics elaborated by Habermas. The tools for this analysis are double: on one side the critique exercised by Överland on the doctrines of Habermas; on the other, the critique that flows from the practice of a social and political pastoral work, which allows us to design an answer to the quest for a political project that can guide the Christians in the present situation
