Abstract
Poco antes de la lapidación de Esteban, refieren los Hechos de los Apóstoles que, éste, hincando la rodilla, "Lleno del Espíritu Santo, vió los cielos abiertos y a Jesús de pie a la derecha de Dios" y exclamó: "veo los cielos abiertos y al Hijo del Hombre de pie a la derecha de Dios". Existe un paralelismo entre lo que Lucas refiere de Esteban y las afirmaciones de Jesús ante sus jueces. "En adelante el Hijo del hombre tendrá su puesto a la derecha del Poder de Dios". Más diciente aún es el texto de Mateo: "Cuando el Hijo del Hombre venga en su gloria, escoltado de sus ángeles tomará puesto en su trono de gloria. Delante de él serán reunidas las naciones ... "
