Abstract
La intensificación y expansión de los procesos globales del capitalismo sobre áreas reservadas de la experiencia, la práctica y el significado, ha motivado la problemática recolocación de la capacidad crítica y política dentro de la academia occidental. Los Estudios Culturales exhiben irónicamente su despolitización en la medida en que no logran articular del todo su sofisticado proyecto teórico con la experiencia cultural; los discursos de oposición -la izquierda, la vanguardia, el feminismo- han sido cooptados por el neoliberalismo como íconos de fácil consumo. Ante tal estado de cosas, Olalquiaga sostiene que los modos de resistencia posibles provienen de uso táctico y crítico de los mecanismo que el mismo capital ofrece -la apropiación, la ruina alegórica y las tácticas de saboteo por ejemplo-, con el objeto de adaptarlos a las necesidades reales de la experiencia más allá (o más acá) de las políticas signadas por el capitalismo global.
