Hacia una enseñanza integral del castellano

Abstract

Durante el Tercer Congreso de Profesores de Español y Litera­tura, celebrado en Ibagué en el año de 1970, presentó el, doctor Car­los Patino Roselli una excelente ponencia con el título de Lingüística estructural y gramática española. En ella se mostraba decidido partidario de que la enseñanza de, esta materia en la Universidad, y por reflejo en el Bachillerato, siguiera rumbos estructuralistas "par­ticularmente en el sentido de ofrecer descripciones formales riguro­sas de nuestra lengua". Esto sin perjuicio de que en las clases de Lin­güística General que se dictan comúnmente en las Universidades colombianas se diera a la corriente generativa toda la atención que merece "como modelo científico diferente del estructuralismo".
