Abstract

This article tries to show how political or government acts were controlled in the colonial period. Roman antecedents of those acts in the republic and the middle age are studied. Emphasis is made on the distinction established on Hispanic absolutist state between the competences of justice and of the government. Finally, a critic is suggested on the French model adopted in the XX century that bought the immunity to governmental acts, forgetting the long tradition placed in the colonial period.
