Abstract

Studying the complexity of our nation’s and the world’s current events, this paper presents key concepts to comprehend this subject matter; relates professor’s role, research and teaching; evaluates the intellectual role of professors as leaders of the academic community; facilitates the creation of a proper environment to promote the participation of teachers in the construction of peace and democracy, and invites teachers and students to get involve actively in the transformation of reality.
