Abstract

This text is a part of the author degree thesis presented to the Law
School of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana at Bogotá, in 2002.
In the later, the topics discussed are the procedure and the due process,
starting from the issue of the procedure as an activity which actualizes
the procedure, character that  bury deep the way in which the State, through  the Judicial Power, in the exercise of the jurisdiction. As a logical consequence, passes to the study of the due process from several perspectives: its definition; its constitutional consecration, the jurisprudential line; and the right to a due process.
