Abstract
This article is a description of the legal structure of arbitration systems
in Latin American countries and seeks to identify which countries have
chosen monistic or dualistic regulations for the regulation of domestic
and international arbitration. Additionally, it describes the institutions of
domestic arbitration legislation that are far different from international
practice and emphasizes on Colombian legislation.
