Abstract

This piece is an analysis of Guillermo Hoyos Vasquez’s phenomenological reading of Nicolás Gómez Dávila’s work, it highlights the peculiarity of a dialogue between them and shows its sources. Focusing mainly in the notion of reactionary thinking and in the criticism of democracy developed by Gómez Dávila, it presents their common points and the ones that set them apart and suggests a few important nuances for the views of both thinkers.
