Abstract
This paper aims to be an invitation to the Latin Americans to make a retrospective glance, a return to our history, to try to unravel the reasons why, after five centuries, we arrive to the present day with a philosophy lacking a defined identity. Here it is maintained that the situation of today's philosophy in Latin America, responds to a mutilation conducted by the Spanish invaders caused by the astonishment provoked by the strange forms of life of these peoples. Mutilation that has caused that the is still experienced, even today, like a negative process of our reality, which constitutes it self as the essence of nonofficial history described from the point of view of the conquered towns
