Abstract

This article tries to sketch parís of the contemporary discussion about one fundamental issue in the Philosophy of Mind: consciousness and the explanatory gap. First, it will be established what the problem consists of by giving a short description of some meanings of "consciousness" as wcll as a
justification of the theory of the explanatory gap. Secondly, a critical analysis of some recent attempts to solve the problem of the explanatory gap will be given.
