Abstract
El presente trabajo informa, a propósito del Congreso Internacional sobre Sartre realizado en julio de 1987 en Frankfurt, sobre el estado actual de las investigaciones en torno al pensamiento sartreano y sobre su confrontación con algunas corrientes de la filosofía contemporánea, la Escuela de Frankfurt y el Estructuralismo especialmente.
Al mismo tiempo, quiere aportarnos elementos para una comprensión más completa de la evolución filosófica de Sartre, desde sus primeras obras hasta la Crítica de la razón dialéctica, y muy especialmente en lo referente a su filosofía moral.
Es intención fundamental del presente texto poner de relieve la actualidad de Sartre en las circunstancias económicas y políticas delmomento presente.
Concluye el artículo mencionando brevemente algunas de las ideas fundamentales expresadas en las principales ponencias leídas durante el mencionado congreso, en especial la de Hans-Georg Gadamer, y haciendo un breve recuento de las instituciones que enla actualidad se ocupan del estudio de la obra de Sartre.
