Abstract
El presente artículo pretende exponer, en forma sintética, el sentido y el alcance que tienen en el pensamiento de Karl Marx la necesidad y el propósito de suprimir la filosofía.
Partiendo de la importancia que confiere Marx a la filosofía en la vida de la Alemania de su época, se esboza la idea de filosofía que éste pensador combate, se indican las razones profundas que él aduce para justificar esa supresión, se muestra lo que encierran las ideas de realización y superación o supresión de la filosofía y se presenta la radicalización que alcanza Marx en el proceso de crítica de la filosofía iniciado por Feuerbach.
En la última parte del artículo se indica la forma en que en El capital se halla ejemplificado el nuevo modo de hacer teoría que Marx opone a la filosofía. Este modelo de teorización implica la supresión de la filosofía tal y como la entiende Marx. El artículo no tiene la pretensión de abarcar en forma global las relaciones de Marx con la filosofía.
