Abstract
En el presente ensayo, su autor, tomando como base la temática del IX Congreso Interamericano de Filosofía y las reflexiones de muy diversos pensadores, examina el sentido que tiene la pregunta por la Filosofa Latinoamericana.
El artículo consta de tres partes. En la primera se afirma que, sin renunciar a su universalidad, la filosofa debe tomar conciencia de la diversidad cultural y dar lugar a la diferencia. Posteriormente, se analiza el fenómeno de la cultura popular como reprimida y excluida respecto de la cultura "oficial". Finalmente, plantea como alternativa fas "tácticas" de la cultura popular, que "no expresan otra cosa que el deseo de justicia" y a partir de las cuales habrá de rescatarse el carácter utópico de la Razón. De esta manera, nuestra reflexión filosófica no puede inspirarse en otra cosa que en el deseo de justicia: "hacer filosofía latinoamericana es un acto de justicia para con los pueblos y culturas latinoamericanos que a través de sus tácticas subversivas manifiestan su deseo de ser y su esfuerzo por
existir".
