Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar sintéticamente las ideas de Andrés Bello en tres áreas de interés filosófico: los principios que guían su gramática, su historiografía y su ética. Se ubica cada área en el momento histórico-filosófico de su discusión y se evalúa cada una dentro de dicho contexto. La perspectiva general es la pertinencia de la obra filosófica de Bello en el ámbito del pensamiento latinoamericano
