Abstract
La reflexión filosófica tiene como una de sus tareas autofundamentarse. Las preguntas por la naturaleza, sentido y razón de ser de la filosofía, además de ser asunto propio de la filosoffa, son preguntas siempre abiertas. Las siguientes páginas contienen algunas reflexiones personales del autor sobre la naturaleza y sentido de filosofar, tomando como punto de referencia algunas tesis y afirmaciones de José Ortega y Gasset. Más que llegar a conclusiones definitivas, cosa que en filosofía nunca es posible, el objetivo del presente artículo es proponer una revaloración crítica del pensamiento del filósofo español y al mismo tiempo unos temas de discusión sobre lo que puede significar nuestra práctica filosófica como respuesta a los interrogantes del mundo actual. Las reflexiones que siguen sirvieron de base para la Lección Inaugural del primer semestre del presente año a cargo del autor.
