Abstract
Se reconoce con frecuencia que la Gramática Generativa Transformacional de Noam es una revolución científica y epistemológica, no sólo de la ciencia lingüística, sino también en otras disciplinas afines. El presente trabajo quiere señalar algunos aspectos de dicho proceso y mostrar algunos elementos que permitan aproximarse a esa revolución científica. Después de una introducción que ubica el problema, se muestra en qué consiste la revolución científica de Chomsky, siguiendo las tesis de las revoluciones científicas de Kühn; se señalan algunas de las anomalías del paradigma de la Lingüística Normal que llevan a Chomsky a proponer un nuevo paradigma: La Gramática Generativa. Se señala luego cómo tal revolución científica implica una revolución epistemológica y, como último punto, se intenta mostrar la revolución metodológica que de lo anterior se sigue. Quedan señalados así algunos elementos de reflexión que dejan abiertos, obuiamente. muchos temas de discusión,
