Abstract
La Hermenéutica, como disciplina académica, es planta de reciente cultivo; pero, como actitud intelectual, es tan antigua como el mismo discurso humano. Todo hombre, por lo mismo que naturalmente desea saber, naturalmente tiende a interpretar. Y ello es así porque el discurso humano, si no nos llega a través de una semiótica totalmente univoca, que raras veces se da, nunca nos transmite los contenidos con la claridad y distinción que deseamos. Si esto ocurre en todos los órdenes del saber, a fortiori sucederá en el ámbito de la conducta, donde el hombre se manifiesta mayormente ávido de orientaciones precisas, tanto para aplicarlas a los actos personales como para juzgar debidamente los ajenos. De ahí la importancia de la Hermenéutica para la ciencia del Derecho.
