Abstract
This paper presents a summary of the idea of natural education and its meaning in Emile or On Education, and addresses Rousseau’s view on the progressive appearance of fundamental dispositions in human growth and development. It deals, too, with Rousseau’s stance on moral and religious education, and his criticism of skepticism that led him to trust his own inner voice as his main spiritual beacon, principle of faith and direct link to God.
