Abstract

Los compuestos quinolínicos tanto naturales como sintéticos son de gran interés debido a su amplio rango de actividades biológicas, así como al estudio de su modo de acción, además de las diversas estrategias de síntesis utilizadas en su preparación. Se discuten las propiedades químicas y biológicas de cuatro alcaloides muy famosos (quinina, estreptonigrina, criptolepina y camptotecina) que contienen el sistema quinolínico como su base molecular, por otra parte, se realiza un pequeño estudio de algunos de los métodos sintéticos de obtención de estos compuestos en el laboratorio.
