Abstract
Se realizó una encuesta entre campesinos del sector cacaotero y cafetero del centro de Santander con el fin de conocer sus percepciones sobre los fenómenos de variabilidad climática y cambio climático. Se encontró que la variabilidad es un tema muy reconocido ya que la gente explica bien los cambios en el clima regional, sus causas e impactos. Los resultados revelan algunas prácticas culturales como estrategias de adaptación espontánea al clima cambiante. Sobre el cambio climático se determinó que como fenómeno, es reconocido pero aún no tiene mucha difusión y hay poco conocimiento sobre sus causas, consecuencias y formas de mitigarlo; sin embargo, la gente lo percibe como una problemática local, regional y global que potencialmente puede tener solución mediante la acción colectiva.Ambiente y Desarrollo is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
