Abstract
El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la inclusión de género como categoría analítica en el tema de medio ambiente y en la construcción del discurso del desarrollo sustentable. Abordar la dimensión de género dentro de la temática ambiental, permite comprender las relaciones que mujeres y hombres establecen con la naturaleza, ligadas a la realidad material, social y cultural, teniendo en cuenta que estos vínculos son socialmente construidos y que varían según la raza, etnia, generación y el sexo, en diferentes escenarios. Según las diferentes perspectivas teóricas, se consideran no sólo los vínculos entre las mujeres y la naturaleza, sino también los diferentes contextos y las relaciones de género que se establecen al interior de los grupos y de la unidad doméstica. De hecho, algunos aportes han constituido la base del discurso de agencias internacionales y de instituciones gubernamentales que han incluido la dimensión de género en las políticas ambientales, como estrategia del desarrollo sustentable. Por último, se aportan posibles ejes analíticos y metodológicos para un análisis de género en los temas ambientales, dentro del contexto del discurso del desarrollo sustentable.Ambiente y Desarrollo is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
