Abstract
Conforme el mundo ha visto hacer crisis el modelo socioeconómico tradicional, haresurgido una episteme que critica el desconocimiento de los límites físicos del entornoambiental y reivindica la relación compleja entre sistemas naturales y sistemassociales. Sin embargo, la dinámica de acumulación de capital y los comportamientosespeculativos alrededor de recursos primarios, como la minería del oro, desafíanconstantemente los márgenes de carga de los ecosistemas, generando asimetríasdesprolijas en materia socioeconómica y ambiental que dejan interrogantes sobreel porvenir de pueblos y regiones marginados de la repartición de la riqueza y queesperan entrar en el club de los ganadores de la globalización. En esto parece incursionarapresuradamente el norte del departamento del Cauca (Colombia) sin tomarlos recaudos normativos del caso. Este documento intenta realizar un ejercicio deeconomía política, comparando los impactos presentes y los que se avecinan sobrela región (El Tambo y Buenos aires), tras la subida de los precios del oro, luego de lacrisis económica mundial y el latente arribo de las empresas multinacionales favorecidaspor el plan de desarrollo.Ambiente y Desarrollo is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
