Resumen

La presente revisión aborda la industria 4.0, entendiendo sus características, las tecnologías fundamentales, los retos y beneficios para las PYMES. Ante un entorno digitalizado se resalta la importancia de profundizar en los factores que influyen en las prácticas de gestión de proyectos para superar los desafíos y optimizar los recursos con flexibilidad y competitividad. Las estrategias de adopción digital se ajustan a cada empresa abordando retos en tiempo, costo y alcance. Mediante la metodología PRISMA y un análisis bibliométrico se revisa rigurosamente la literatura revelando el crecimiento en las publicaciones sobre el tema. Se concluye que la gestión de proyectos es una herramienta estratégica para que las PYMES inicien su transición hacia la Industria 4.0 sin descuidar los desafíos y aprovechar al máximo las oportunidades que la revolución digital ofrece. Las futuras investigaciones se direccionan hacia metodologías ágiles y adaptativas, la exploración de la transformación digital, la utilización de los principios Lean y la mejora continua en gerencia de proyectos.
