Abstract

The article presents a reading of El espectro de René Magritte (1948) a collection of poems by the Chilean writer Enrique Gómez Correa that resulted from his collaboration with the Belgian painter. I would like to defend the idea that avant-garde reception projects in Chile do not exclusively appeal to the form of a continuous subversion of the previous aesthetic traditions, but that they are constituted as pedagogical frameworks for aesthetic experimentation, as shown by the aesthetic confluence presented in the text through a particular construction of the surreal image by similarity instead of distance.
