Abstract
Si el cambio de enfoque de regiones continentales a flujos oceánicos procuró rescatar los estudios de área de su obsolescencia geopolítica, y si el desplazamiento de las ciencias sociales duras, neopositivistas y desarrollistas por un multiculturalismo interdisciplinario y poscolonial respondió al giro cultural posmoderno, la irrupción de los estudios transatlánticos hispánicos podría entenderse como una pieza más en la política cultural panhispanista promovida por el Estado español. Imbricada a los intereses económicos del capitalismo español y las corporaciones transnacionales, esta política, que procura restablecer la hegemonía moral y cultural de la antigua metrópolis sobre el mundo de habla hispana, responde a una estrategia económica y geopolítica global.Cuadernos de Literatura is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
