Abstract

Este artículo analiza la más reciente novela de Luis Arturo Ramos, Mickey y sus amigos (2010), dentro del contexto de lo que otros intelectuales europeos y latinoamericanos han escrito acerca de los parques Disney. Estos enormes espacios de entretenimiento resultan emblemáticos de la cultura norteamericana y de ciertas coordenadas de la llamada postmodernidad. La exploración narrativa de Disney World en manos de Ramos se representa ficcionalmente a partir de las historias de dos de los encarnadores de Mickey Mouse que resaltan en sus avatares las lógicas de la ilusión, el deseo y la fantasía que condicionan a la experiencia dentro de estos recintos.
