Abstract
En la primera parte de este ensayo se examinan algunas teorías sobre los afectos y sus principales tendencias y objetos en la academia estadounidense, para luego dar cuenta de sus influencias en América Latina. En la segunda parte, dialogando críticamente con estas teorías, seexploran los afectos que produce la globalización en el caso de Ciudad Juárez con respecto a los procesos de (re)configuración de subjetividades de mujeres jóvenes, pobres y con escasa educación que trabajan en las maquilas, específicamente en relación con la experiencia de los cuerpos desaparecidos (más conocidos como las “muertas de Ciudad Juárez”).
