Abstract
Este ensayo explora el papel de las editoriales locales y globales dentro la producción cultural latinoamericana de hoy en día. El artículo se centraen el éxito editorial del autor cubano Pedro Juan Gutiérrez como caso ejemplar de la distribución global del best seller sucio, y en el estatus de autor de culto de Rubén Vélez en Colombia, para examinar las tendencias más significativas en la industria editorial latinoamericana local y global. Asimismo, se ofrece una reflexión sobre la promoción y la distribución de estos autores a través de los sellos editoriales que publican sus obras, Anagrama (Barcelona) y Babilonia (Bogotá).
