Abstract
El género de la literatura de viajes a principios de siglo veinte en Colombia, pone de nuevo en cuestión el debate regional dentro de los proceso de construcción de la nación, evidenciando los imaginarios, en su mayoría estereotipados, que se han construido de algunas regiones del país a través del tiempo y que aún hoy permanecen como referentes establecidos en la memoria de los Colombianos. Este artículo analiza estos presupuestos a través del análisis de dos libros de viaje: Viaje a pie de Fernando González y Cuatro años a bordo de mí mismo de Eduardo Zalamea. Ambas obras dan cuenta de geografías apartadas y periféricas para el país de la época.
