Abstract
En este artículo se proponen algunas herramientas de la literatura comparada para trascender las dicotomías generadas en el debate entre narratólogos y ludólogos a propósito del estatuto estético y cultural de los videojuegos. Si bien los estudios sobre narrativa digital se habían centrado hasta hace poco en el hipertexto, con el nuevo paradigma teórico de la ciberculturalidad asistimos en la última década al desarrollo de los estudios académicos sobre los videojuegos. Se revisan aquí algunos argumentos primordiales de la polémica en torno a la especificidad versus la narratividad de esta práctica cultural, basándonos en ejemplos y valorando posturas más dialógicas como las de Jesper Juul, quien subraya la doble dimensión, lúdica y ficcional, de los videojuegos, o de Henry Jenkins, para quien el diseño de los espacios es la clave de sus posibilidades narrativas. Al hilo de este panorama y en un sentido bajtiniano, se explora esta frontera de la literatura digital, cuyo funcionamiento diferencial en cuanto cibertextos no debe olvidar, como recuerda Katherine Hayles, los procedimientos literarios que contribuyen también en su configuración como medio.Cuadernos de Literatura is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
