Abstract
Los yaquis del norte de México identifican ciertas formas topográficas en su territorio nativo como yo hoaram [hogares encantados] que sirven de puerta a formas propias y esotéricas de saber. Otros lugares encantados atestiguan la destrucción que experimentaron los yaquis sobre el pasado y la violencia del presente. En este artículo, se consideran las relaciones entre la memoria, la identidad cultural y el sentido de lugar a través de un examen de las narraciones yaquis sobre su territorio; además, se argumenta que tales narraciones pueden ser interpretadas como una comprensión espcializada de las ansiedades contemporáneas, incrustadas en un paisaje recubierto con capas de intensos significados culturales.Cuadernos de Literatura is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
