Abstract

El siglo XIX ha sido fundamental en las representaciones artísticas y literarias de la mujer, en consonancia con el creciente protagonismo que alcanza a lo largo de la centuria. En el presente artículo hacemos un recorrido por el icono de la mujer fatal, centrado en las figuras de Cleopatra, Judith y Salomé, verdaderos idolos de la perversión femenina, tal y como aparecen caracterizadas en la literatura hispanoamericana finisecular.
