Abstract
El artículo versa acerca del impacto sobre Neruda tuvo la Guerra Civil española, y los muchos poetas e intelectuales a los que conoció en la capital de España durante los años comprendidos entre 1934 y 1938. En Madrid comienza a escribir un libro Tercera residencia del que forma parte España en el corazón. Este libro presenta presenta una serie de similitudes con la gran obra nerudiana Canto general. El artículo explora las secciones de ambos libros señalando sus coincidencias. No hay duda de que otras obras fueron fundamentales en la gestación de Canto genereal, como los muralistas mexicanos, pero en España en el corazón se están dando las claves fundamentales, que el artículo analiza.Cuadernos de Literatura is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
