Abstract
Ante la dificultad de abarcar un tema tan amplio, "identidad y literatura en el Caribe francófono", mi propósito es presentar un panorama de lo que ha sido allí el proceso de búsqueda de identidad, y su estrecha y recíproca relación con la producción literaria. Al preparar esta intervención fui encontrándome en el ámbito de unidad y de diversidad del Caribe compartido por Tío Tigre y Tío Conejo, Uncle Tiger and Uncle Rabbil, Oom Tijger en Oom Konijn, para llegar al dominio de Compé Tigre el Compé Lapin, que es el que nos ocupa. Este espacio, el del Caribe francófono, está compuesto por Haití (situada en la parte occidental de la isla bautizada La Hispaniola por Colón y que comparte con República Dominicana) y lo que conocemos como Antillas Francesas, que comprende dos territorios insulares, Martinica y Guadalupe, y uno continental, la Guayana, en América del Sur.Cuadernos de Literatura is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
