Abstract
El presente trabajo pretende sustentar la posibilidad de una lectura que interprete la novela Dulce compañía, de la escritora colombiana Laura Restrepo, como una indagación profunda sobre la sociedad contemporánea, en un esfuerzo para esclarecer el trasfondo cultural desde el cual está emergiendo la obra de nuestros escritores y que se nutre en las raíces de nuestra sociedad. La novela de Laura Restrepo es una mirada desde el presente hacia el pasado, y esta forma de discurso que así se abre es síntoma de una sociedad en crisis. A manera de hipótesis se puede pensar que presenciamos lo que Habermas llama una "descentración de la imagen del mundo"! proceso en el cual se comienza a dar una opción de modernidad entre nosotros muy contradictoria y desigual.Cuadernos de Literatura is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
