Abstract
En la trayectoria que conduce a la formación y evolución de la novela colombiana durante el siglo XIX, existen formas narrativas simples como la autobiografia ficticia, que se encuentran en publicaciones periódicas, tales como El Duende (1846). En este periódico se halla un texto de prosa de ficción: «Historia de unas tarjetas, referida por una de ellas», que desarrolla unsubgénero narrativo sofisticado que incorpora junto a la conciencia temática, una gran expresión narrativa. La historia narra la vida de una tarjeta de presentación que lleva el nombre de su dueño: Federico Chupeda, cuya narración parodia las caracteristicas más importantes del géneroautobiográfico.
