Abstract
In recognition of the social production of habitat, it is necessary to conceptualize what the habitat and, specifically built for the physical expression is visible manifestation of urban intervention capita in current social conglomerate.
This representation derives from the involvement of the inhabitants to produce their own environment, as manifested by the interaction of the community: the materialization of the home is housing and its infrastructure, makes up the neighborhood. These actions, to be accepted by the State, are recognized as the consolidation process expressed in a number of challenges and obligations considered and analyzed in each of the bodies.
The reflection approaches from the sustainability approach to be taken into account in the study of living processes of the city to action policies of the administration in seeking to provide better levels of quality of life.
