Abstract
En este artículo se discuten dos de las concepcionesfilosóficas que hoy sustentan los discursosambientalistas y ecológistas: el naturalismo biocentristay el antropocentrismo humanista. A partir de estasformas de concebir las relaciones entre el hombre y lanaturaleza, en este ensayo, se muestran algunas consecuenciasindeseables de tales radicalismos. Se critica lapropuesta del ecologismo reformista y, también, seplantean algunos interrogantes que permitan construirotros relatos que contribuirán a encontrar nuevos caminosde interacción armónica entre la cultura y la naturaleza.Se concluye que, frente a la escasa garantíaofrecida por los radicalismos ecologistas yambientalistas y el ecologismo reformista para darrespuesta a los complejos problemas del tercer mundo,es urgente revisar relatos un tanto olvidados como lasutopías sociales, el marxismo y la teoría iusnaturalista.Una nueva lectura de tales relatos nos ayudará, quizás,a encontrar salidas a la crisis ambiental del momento.Cuadernos de Desarrollo Ruralis registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
