Abstract
El artículo ofrece una visión del papel que pueden jugar las cooperativas agropecuarias en el momento actual. En un primer aparte se ubica el tema, en el ambito de una reconceptualización de la agricultura y la presencia en ella, del pequeño productor. El aparte dos, presenta la situación actual del sector agropecuario en general y del agroindustrial en particular, en el país. Un tercer aparte plantea la realidad del movimiento cooperativo agropecuario, con base en dos visiones. Y finalmente se ofrecen unas conclusiones relativas a las posibilidades que pueden tener las cooperativas rurales y los pequeños productores e3n el marco de larenovada visión del sector.Cuadernos de Desarrollo Ruralis registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
