Abstract
This essay encompasses a precise historiography problem (in the realm of Urban History) from three clear perspectives: first, the paper develops some specific reflections regarding the definition of urban trying to show how the theoretical delimitation of this criteria is extremely ambiguous; secondly, the essay gives a brief reflection regarding the value of space as a category of historical analysis (with an emphasis on the field of urban history) and finally, the paper attempts to show how urban historiography, when studied as "Urban" or "urbane" ends up referring to a horizon with infinite possibilitiesThe journal Memoria y Sociedad is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
