Abstract

This article analyzes the general rulings group contained in police court orders and edicts to show the configuration of two educational strategies into Santa Fe city by the end of the 18th century: the appropriation of urban ruling practices, and the collection of homeless, idle and vague people as producers of public disorders. On these people the Royal Hospice of Santa Fe tried to force a new moral modeling by means of their reclusion and forcing to work.
