Abstract
This article presents the discussions concerning the fate, territorially, legally, and administratively of the indigenous lands of the high-plains in the context of the application of the Bourbon Reforms during the New Kingdom of Granada. The article explores and reveals the ideas, that reflections and the phenomena that were found in the historic background of this situation such as the conflicts between the interests of local/regional powers and those of the peninsular Spaniards. The article shows the social and political tension between the «residents» and the communities on terms of a historical struggle for the occupation of productive agrarian spaces.
