Abstract
This article is intended to explain firstly the power resources allowing China and India to become global powers in the contemporary world. These two countries have convergences and similar stances in their national and international politics. However, the rivalry and competence between China and India is evinced in three fields: 1) the escalation in the Chinese-Indian border dispute; 2) the fact that India does not trust the Chinese politics regarding the issues in South Asia, being the strategic alliance between Pakistan and China the core of this mistrust, which is also related to the rivalry between China and India to get control over the Indian Ocean; 3) the Belt and Road Initiative by China or BRI (Belt and Road Initiative) is becoming a worrying issue between China and India. These factors bring about a great tension between these two powers both in the global and regional order.
